The icons might help make it look better organized. However, I don't mind either way. The icons help more visually for me to see the activity overall.

while the "packs may have their own custom ranks" thing is worked on, are we allowed to change the name to certain ranks? like, alpha to chief and deputy to subordinate or something?

Great question! This is fine as it will give packs more uniqueness and individuality. In addition, it has been decided that each pack may have 2 'special' ranks added to the existing. What they are is up to you. You don't have to have 2, but 2 is the maximum. @yasuna, @amary, @shepard, @rott, @sacred

Ladies and gentleman we came up with a fun way to train. Discussed this for like an hour with Yasuna and we want to make sure everyone including alphas and members are cool with it. None too complicated and not boring I think.

Basically, members will start off as loners. You would remain in neutral territory until an Alpha accepts you. Once they do, we can move you to your pack group and in Apprenticeship skill level. Now you need to earn skills for the position you want. Subordinate, mentor or leader. It's going to be fun!

For the training, we came up with the idea that a user would request a training in the training forum where their skills and health stats will be monitored via that topic. Once you have requested it and it has been accepted, you move to the Roleplay forum titled for the training area and there you can create your own topic for a virtual training world of your creation based on the skills you are training for that day. We didn't want to set a limit, so staff will be calculating stats earned throughout training fairly.

To spread it out, member are moved into their respective groups once they have been accepted by the Alpha. Once done, the member is now a skilled Apprentice. At this level it is where you know nothing of your rank and it's duties and so you must train. Seeing as we have no mentors right now, we though to pair everyone up. Anyway, with the training specifically, members will Roleplay in the training area forum (not to be confused with the topic you did for your request. Those topics can be used to discuss plans for the characters training such as what quest they will do to up their defense and battle skills.

The Roleplay of the course will be done in what is called a Vortex. A place where landscape and climate change based on the trainees desires to train a specific skill. For example they want to do a training for their defense, they could image a hunters house, fending off angry dogs. The creation for that part is yours. If we had mentors, they would not be affected by what goes on in the training. You, as a trainee will suffer damage that does not affect your physical being outside the vortex, but you would be sore.

Each obstacle in the vortex is a challenge. We use dice for the outcomes. Dices will be explained another time. The dice will say whether an action. Was a success or a fail. Points are awarded with each success and removed with each failure. At the end, a staff member will tally the points and the training is concluded will the awarded points.

What do you guys think??? Sound like fun?

Okay, You'll have to talk through this step by step when it's that time to do the training for my skills. I swear I read this and it was like the info, or half of it went in one ear and out the other. There was no examples which made the training very complex. In a positive note, this gives me the feeling of playing an actual game which I like. Can't wait to start Training. Smile


Edit: @Lark, Aren't you the Alpha of Armythia??? Or did you intend on making me the Alpha??? I'm so confused, Sacred is a healer not an alpha lol.

In regards to the training, it will be examined in a guide with examples hehe. Me and my testing buddy, @Yasuna will be testing it to work out any issues. No worries.

i absolutely love this idea! it reminds me of DnD, which is cool cause im familiar with that. not gonna lie, im gonna find myself in the training thread alot more than i thought. im super stoked!
